Greater Greenwood Arts Council 2020 Scholarship

2020 Scholarship Award

Today’s art, music and literary artists are tomorrow’s leaders in the arts industries. The Greater Greenwood Arts Council is proud to invest in the future of all arts by awarding a one-time scholarship to help up to 3 promising students with rising tuition costs.

The Greater Greenwood Arts Council Scholarship will be awarded to a high school senior who is pursuing a degree in fine arts, arts education or an art related field from a college, university, or school of design, and will graduate from a Johnson County Indiana high school before July 1 of the year in which the scholarship will be awarded.  GGAC will award three (3) scholarships in the amount of $500 each to be paid directly to the college or university attended by the award winner.  The scholarships will be awarded to individuals studying the following areas, one scholarship per area:

  1. 2D/3D art or a related field

2. Performing arts (including dance, music, theatre, and performance)

3. Literary arts or related field

The scholarship submission consists of a completed application form, portfolio, artist’s statement, letter of recommendation and transcript.  Applications are due no later than May 10, 2020.
